Conservation District

HUNGRY?

Soil erosion claims 70 million tons of Missouri top soil each year.

We ALL must do our part to ensure

Food for the Future!

Livingston County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) is funded by the one-tenth-of-one-percent parks-and-soils sales tax.

This website was possible by a grant from the Soil and Water Conservation Program,
provided by Missouri’s Parks and Soils Tax.

WHO ARE WE…

The Livingston County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) was established in 1963. Landowners in this county recognized the need to have a way to voluntarily help private landowners address their soil erosion problems.  Our purpose is to provide education and technical assistance in the wise use and management of our natural resources.
